For me it’s almost always something slow and predictable. I used to think I needed variety or entertainment, but that actually kept me more awake. Now I go for
videos — nothing intense, nothing surprising. Just something that runs in the background while I prepare for sleep. It’s interesting how much difference that makes. When the content is too dynamic, I find myself paying attention without realizing it. But when it’s calm, I can just let it be there without engaging too much. It creates this smooth transition between being active and actually resting. Over time, it kind of trained my brain to associate those visuals with bedtime, so I fall asleep faster without overthinking.
